  •     when people tell you college flies by they aren't lying. my first year is almost over...its been wonderful but now i have to start thinking about next year. i am going to write a list of goals that i hope to keep and earn. we'll see next year at this time how i do...

    1. keep one roommate all year.
    2. study study study
    3. keep my room somewhat sort of clean.
    4. be as involved as i was this year.
    5. keep God first above everything else.
    6. continue to love.
    7. pull a sweet prank.
    8. take advantage of my last year of college with Josh.
    9. stay healthy and continue a regular work out schedule.
    10. write more letters.

ok, i think i can do all that! i hope everyone is having a stress free week but if you aren't go to Keva Juice and get a Berry Berry Good with a stress relief vitamins in it....your life will improve. and if you don't want to spend $5.00 than go to walmart and get a Fuze for a buck! they are pretty good too and are just as good for you!

  • so, i'm sitting in a very cold room with two very cool people who's cell phones are full of personality (aka they are broken) and it is 11:38. hows that for an opening sentence? wonderful Wednesday\marvelous Monday\ wonderful wok day was yesterday and it was just as good as everyone said it would be! there was food and blow up rides and lots of sports! as you know i am a HUGE Frisbee fan so that was one of the highlights of my day. the milk chugging contest was a new experience for me and even though it smelled i will be on pardee lawn next year cheering on the craziness. kinda like my blog so far college is kinda random and funny...thats at least how my life is right now. its the last few weeks of school and things around campus are crazy and slow all at the same time. i have down time when i would be busy and i'm busy when i'm used to having down time. i dont want my first year to be over though. its been very eventful to say the least. i've had lots of ups and a few downs. i got to live with two amazing girls who put up with my messy tenancies and silly habits. i made friends that i know will never leave me. i have been blessed with Milligan's most amazing man as a boyfriend and i've learned sooooooo much. if your looking for a college that will enrich your life and get you where you want to be in 10 years i would strongly talk to God about Milligan...who knows he might bless you with a fabulous first year like he did with me!

  • have any of you ever had one of those crazy whirlwind weeks? well, this one was one for me! its amazing how busy you can get. one thing i've found very encouraging about Milligan though is the fact that its impossible to get over-stressed when you have the kind of friends i do. the people i've formed relationships with take care of me and make sure i'm not going to crack. yesterday was one of those not so good days and my friend Emily saw the stress in my eyes. she immediately sat me down, stuck me in-front of the TV and we watched a movie. it was the perfect de-stressor!

  • its Easter 2008, a day i will never forget for the rest of my life. a woman i've never met died today and i cried for her like i'd known her. its strange the places and situations God puts us in. i came into Easter break thinking it would be just that...a break from school and stress, and it was, but God knew i would need to help and morn with a church family dealing with a great loss. a dear friend of my boyfriends family, a 34 year old wife and mother, a woman i wanted to meet died and the doctors don't no why. seeing grown men, including Josh ,my boyfriend, and his two best friends, was just the start to a very emotional night. yet, through it all prayer and loving kindness were at the foreground of the evening. seeing over 50 people come and support each-other reminded me how blessed i am to be a part of the Christian family. tomorrow we are heading back to Milligan for a few days before we turn around again to show further support but being home for a few days in-between will be good. its wonderful to know that my professors and friends will understand why we will be coming back within the week. i will leave you with the one thing said tonight that i hope to always hold on to and follow: love your husbands and wives.
now i know most of us are not yet married but we will be someday and i hope none of us will ever take our spouse for granted. they are gifts from God.
